  1. In EndNote Web, click on the Collect tab.
  2. Select New Reference.
  3. Choose your Reference Type.
  4. Enter citation information into the required fields.

  6. Click Save.

Adding Websites

You can add the Capture Reference tool (found on the Downloads page in EndNote) to your bookmarks toolbar to pull some basic metadata from a webpage into the citation fields used in EndNote. You can then manually add or edit the information and import the citation to EndNote without having to switch between browser tabs.

Only use this for resources you find that aren't in a database that has an EndNote export function (listed to the right), as the export function will provide you with better information for your citation than the Capture Reference tool collects.
