The Kling Media Lab (Learning Commons 181) is a multimedia lab with 13 Mac Studio stations that can handle even the biggest video, audio, photo or design projects with a wide array of software programs and equipment. Moreover, the Kling Media Lab offers the same tools as its sister lab, the CSB Creative Lab at the Clemens Library, which allows users to work at either campus for maximum convenience. Both labs are supported by skilled staff that can provide assistance, training or even check out equipment for users. Adjacent to the Kling Media lab, you'll find the Armstrong Video Studio.
The Armstrong Video Studio (Learning Commons 193) is multimedia production facility available to students, faculty and staff for original video and audio creation in a controlled studio setting. More than just a typical TV studio, this space has great flexibility and a plethora of options for a variety of uses and applications that promote media literacy and hands-on technical experience.
Need to capture a quality audio recording? The Video Studio houses a sound booth that offers audio isolation in a controlled environment. The booth is a self-contained unit with built-in microphone and solid-state recorder. Users can also bring in their own personal device and connect to the booth TV monitor for scripts or visual playback.
Use of the Video Studio, Control Room, and Sound Booth are available by appointment. Instructional Technology asks that appointments are made for normal business hours (Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm). Learn more about using and reserving these spaces, or reach out to an Instructional Technology Specialist!

The Clemens Library Makerspace is a learning lab in which our community is encouraged to experiment, invent, explore ideas, and innovate whether it is for a class, for fun, or to explore entrepreneurial opportunities. By making a technology-rich environment available to all students, supplemented by low barrier to entry and low stakes programming, students can recognize technical and creative abilities they may not have realized they have. As a space focused on learning, those using the makerspace and available technologies will be mentored and supported while engaging in their self-led iterative design and fabrication process.
