Located in the lower level of the Learning Commons, the Colman Barry Creativity Center is a space for students to create and work on technology-related projects and endeavors. The Kling Media Lab has 13 Mac Studio stations that can handle even the biggest video, audio, photo, or design projects with a wide array of software programs and equipment.
The video Studio is a multimedia production facility available to students, faculty and staff for original video and audio creation in a controlled studio setting. The studio also houses a Sound Booth that offers audio isolation in a controlled environment and an Advanced Editing Workstation with a Mac Pro computer that offers higher performance capabilities than our standard lab computers for intensive video/audio editing.
Need to capture a quality audio recording? The Video Studio houses a sound booth that offers audio isolation in a controlled environment. Our booth is a self-contained unit with built-in microphone and solid-state recorder. Users can also bring in their own personal device and connect to the booth TV monitor for scripts or visual playback.
This space offers the ability to record multi-channel, high quality audio to USB Flash drive, SD and CF cards. Great for recording audio for vocal and speech work, instrument recording, academic course work, assignments, interviews, multimedia projects and more. Located in the BAC, the studio equipment is beginner friendly, however it is also robust enough to handle the demands for larger recording sessions when needed. Basic easy start guides and instructions are included in the room.
