What is a PESTLE Analysis?

Conducting a PESTLE Analysis is an essential task of when analyzing the external factors that affect a specific company or industry. Specifically, it is a tool that businesses use to asses the political, economic, social, technological, legal, and environmental factors that will affect its performance and strategy.   • Technological: e-commerce; cybersecurity threats; emerging technologies; big data and computing; AI and machine learning; supply chain automation
  • Legal: labor laws; consumer laws; market regulation; health and safety laws; import/export regulations; anti-competitive practices
  • Environmental: sustainability; climate change; waste management; environmental regulations; consumer environmental awareness
