- International Sociological Association (ISA)The goal of the ISA is to represent sociologists everywhere, regardless of their school of thought, scientific approaches, or ideological opinion, and to advance sociological knowledge throughout the world. Its members come from 167 countries.
- Sociologists of Minnesota (SOM)This is an organization serving all sociologists and sociology students in Minnesota, which works to support innovative thinking in the field, collaborate on projects, and broaden horizons during its annual conference. SOM publishes a monthly newsletter, The Sociograph, which is available online at http://socmn.org/.
- Midwest Sociological Society (MSS)The Midwest Sociological Society is a professional organization of academic and applied sociologists as well as students of the discipline. Nearly 1200 scholars, students, and practicing sociologists in universities, government, and business belong to the organization. The MSS encompasses nine states - Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Kansas, South Dakota and North Dakota.
