MLK Week at CSB/SJU

MLK Week 2019: "The Accessibility of MLK's Dream: The Forgotten Ones" runs January 19th-25th, with events taking place each day. These events include the MLK Day Teach-In on Wednesday, January 23rd, as well as the following events throughout the week.

The Rev. Dr. Traci C. West is Professor of Ethics and African American Studies at Drew University Theological School, an ordained elder in the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist church, and a member of United Methodists of Color for a Fully Inclusive Church. 

 

Save the Date: We Shall Overcome on 2/15

"We Shall Overcome: A Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr."

We Shall Overcome showcases a range of African American music traditions interwoven with spoken word from Dr. King's speeches. This inspiring production, which will feature a joint campus and community choir, ties together a living lineage of music and culture, including gospel, classical, jazz, Broadway and spirituals.
