Listservs

ACRLFRAME
A listserv to provide a convenient spot for exchanging ideas about the Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education.

ILI-L (ACRL Instruction Section)
Long-standing online community of instruction librarians. Over 5000 members. A typical work day finds multiple posts by librarians from across the U.S., Canada and occasionally other parts of the globe. Posts to this list typically deal with asking for advice on an instruction issue, job postings primarily in the library instruction field, and announcements of events of interest to library instructors.

INFOLIT (The Information Literacy discussion list)
"The INFOLIT list...provides a virtual space for school library professionals and their university library colleagues to share ideas and ask questions about the importance of information literacy as students transition from high school to college." Focused on K-12 and possible/actual collaboration with academic institutions. Beyond its different focus, it does not have as many posts, nor as many back & forth discussions, as ili-l. Over 2500 members.

LIS-INFOLITERACY (Info Lit and Information skills teaching)
UK-based information literacy and information skills teaching discussion list. "A discussion forum for librarians and information professionals involved in information literacy and information skills teaching across all sectors. It will cover all delivery methods and issues concerning user education and explore the sharing of resources at a national level.
